Seaside Daisy | Erigeron glaucus seeds
Erigeron glaucus is a low-growing perennial wildflower commonly known as Seaside Daisy or California Daisy. Native to the California coast, it naturally occurs on bluffs, coastal scrub, and open grasslands, thriving in cool, breezy conditions and well-drained soils. The plant will tolerate heavy clay soils when grown on a slope. This adaptable native is valued both for habitat restoration and ornamental use, forming tidy, evergreen mounds that spread gently over time.
Plants produce cheerful lavender-blue to pink daisy-like flowers with bright yellow centers, blooming over a long season and attracting native bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Erigeron glaucus is drought tolerant once established, tolerant of coastal conditions and light salt spray, and performs beautifully as a groundcover, edging plant, or in rock gardens and native landscapes. Sow in masses for best visual impact and pollinator support.
