Rare , endangered, and fragrant! Check this beauty out. Here is your chance to grow a truly rare and endangered plant endemic to California's foothills. When regular Tidytips wilt away from the heat, Layia heterotricha keep growing and blooming. A native to Southern California, it gets 2-3' tall with many 1" wide deliciously scented and creamy flowers. The leaves are fleshy, stout and amazingly fragrant. Sour apple jolly rancher or latex paint? Plant it to find out! No matter what your nose detects, you will be intrigued. Naturally growing on open clay soils, it is an easy growing annual in gardens, clays or otherwise, but do protect against snails in the early stages. Reliably reseeds. Part of California Native Plants Society's inventory of Rare and Endangered plants on list 1B.1.

~15 organically grown seeds per packet, open-pollinated, untreated, non-gmo.
