Rodeo Rose Arroyo Lupine | Lupinus succulentus 'Rodeo Rose' seeds

$5.00

Lupinus succulentus ‘Rodeo Rose’ is a beautiful pink-flowered selection of Arroyo Lupine, a California native annual wildflower known for fast growth, lush foliage, and showy spring flower spikes. Unlike the typical blue-purple form of Arroyo Lupine, ‘Rodeo Rose’ produces rose-pink blooms, often with deeper maroon tones on the banner petals, creating a soft but vivid display in native gardens and wildflower plantings. It is an annual herb that commonly grows about 2–3 feet tall and blooms in spring.

This easy-to-grow lupine is excellent for pollinator gardens, meadow plantings, cottage-style native gardens, roadsides, slopes, and disturbed areas. It prefers full sun and grows well in well-drained soil, but like the species, it can also tolerate heavier soils better than many other lupines. ‘Rodeo Rose’ grows quickly, may reseed where conditions are favorable, and combines beautifully with California poppies, tidy tips, clarkias, phacelias, and blue-flowered lupines for a colorful spring meadow effect.

The plant has attractive palmate leaves and upright flower spikes carrying many pea-shaped blossoms in warm rose-pink tones. A strong choice for gardeners wanting the classic Arroyo Lupine form with a less common pink color palette.
