Leptosiphon grandiflorus is a delicate and beautiful annual wildflower commonly known as Large-flowered Leptosiphon. Native to California, it occurs naturally in coastal scrub, chaparral, and open grasslands, often blooming in colorful spring displays after winter rains. This species is well adapted to Mediterranean climates and is especially valued for its soft blue to lavender funnel-shaped flowers that brighten native gardens and wildflower meadows.
Plants remain low-growing and airy, making them ideal for naturalistic plantings, borders, and restoration projects. Leptosiphon grandiflorus prefers full sun and well-drained soils and performs best when allowed to complete its life cycle with minimal summer irrigation. Sow in drifts or masses for the most striking visual impact and to support early-season pollinators.

Seed Germination Requirements
Leptosiphon grandiflorus germinates readily when sown in fall or early winter, mimicking natural rainfall patterns. Seeds require light to germinate, so press gently into the soil without heavy covering. Keep soil evenly moist but not waterlogged until seedlings establish. No cold stratification is required, though cool temperatures significantly improve germination success.

Packet contains 75 organically grown seeds, untreated and non-GMO.
